On today's docket

It begins as most days, busy. I like to start my days watching Playhouse Disney, eating cheerios. We were off to Betty's while Mom worked and it was a lot of fun. Right after Mom was done we hurried off to go get pictures done for a MOPS fundraiser. Those women are mostly catty but Mom can understand their national cause and participates at times. This was for sepia photos. I was unsure about the overalls I was made to wear. I have never been a fan of them. I feel constricted and that is so not how I roll. The photographer got a kick out of me, I hammed it up for him. Mom is looking forward to seeing the pictures on December 9th.

I am driving Mom insane and have to go get the nasal flu shot this afternoon. Till later.

Archives of old blog conception to Oct 31, 2005

It from the newest October 31st, 2005 to when we began planning him this was my VERY old pregnancy blog...

I also have my 15 month check up this after noon, and Grams and Gramps are coming to visit so Mom and Dad can go to the dentist tomorrow morning.

We adopted out Monarch today to the family that has KC Blaze. The nice ladies old puppy dog, passed away from old age last week, she was very sad and so was KC. Mommy and Daddy thought that since I take up so much time, they could pay better attention to Monarch. He could get spoiled rotten, and be back with his half sister. They seemed to get along quite well. I will sure miss him, who will I feed my food to when Mommy's not looking? And who will clean up all the crumbs on the floor? Mommy cried a lot today about it, but she says it is best for everyone. Monarch won't wake me with his barking for no reason, we can just up and go without having to find a place for the puppy. And most importantly, Monarch will not be lonely, he'll be back with his little sister. Just know no matter whereever you are Monarch, WE LOVE ALWAYS YOU!!!

Saturday, June 04, 2005
Tonight, I said my first word! Duck. I was in the bathtub, and Daddy was playing with the duck. He said to me Duck,Duck, Duck...To my parents suprise I piped with Duck!

Tuesday, May 24, 2005
Mom pumped up my new pool yesterday and covered itso it would be warm today. I went splishin and splashin in it for about 15 minutes with some rubber duckies. It was really fun!

Monday, May 09, 2005
Today was a bit slower than yesterday, but not by much! Daddy, Mommy and I went to Target and shop till we dropped.

Than it was naptime. When I conked out, Mommy and Grandma Pat went to exchange my new and improved Fort Logan ( an ELMO tent). Pictures to follow of that baby!! Mommy and GRandma ended up at Toys R us, Grandma got me two Elmo books, a Thomas the Tank Engine, and a Lion King ride on car. One book is a cardbord book called So Big! with Elmo, and the other is a cloth book titled Good Night Elmo! I love my books! Thank you Grandma!

I breifly saw my uncle Tommy at Edwardo's, I hope to see him more in the future. I want him and Auntie Jess to get together so Jess can be my real Auntie, and I'll see Uncle Tommy more. HeHeHE.

Mommy and I dropped Daddy off at Todd and Dawns, and we went to Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Mary Tabbert's again. I got to chill and play with toys, eat a bit of some pizza, and I even took a bath in their blue tub!

Lastly before going back to the hotel, I had to see the Shea girl's again. We three tore up the plce playing with magnetic letters and some cool kid toys that were just my size. Bree (who's 7) is so quiet and calm and sweet, I like to give her hugs and when I was feeling wild I played with Brooke (who's 3). Man they are sweet girls, I hope to see them soon.

Back at the hotel, Auntie Jess came to see us again, before we left in the morning. I'll miss her and really hope to see more of my Godmother.

Sunday, May 08, 2005
Ahh, Mother's Day. Mommy and I went out to get pictures for her parents. I was cute to boot as always and I got my very own Dum Dum sucker for it! I love pictures!!! I also quickly saw Grandma Pat again. I let her hold me for all of about two seconds this time.

Next Daddy Mommy and I ran to Valley View Mall and Daddy got a LaCrosse Hat, and I got a Wisconsin Hat.

Than it was off to Grandpa and Grandma Tabbert's house. Where once again I was bullied by my older cousin. He'll be sorry when I can defend myself even a little bit. But the grandparents alway make it better, giving me yummy green beans and some odd organic cookie, that I happliy gobbled down. I still am not big on others holding me, so just some quick hugs there.

Next it was off to Todd and Dawn's house. Who have two of the most stunning girls you could ever see. I like them both, but was a bit clingy to Mommy. Except when I saw Todd, I reached right for him, much to everyones suprise. I played there for quite some time, with Mommy, Dawn, and the girls. I swung in their swing, and played in their little red car. I also discovered grass! It's this green stuff on the ground, it's soft and kind of tickley.

Next we went out to dinner with Auntie Jess, her brother, and her parents. They are so sweet! I ate a lot of peas, turkey, taters and breadsticks. Yummy!!!!!

Jess went back to the hotel with us, and my uncle Tommy came to see us. Too bad I was crashed out. I wanted to meet him.

Saturday, May 07, 2005
WE are on to the second leg of the trip. To LaCrosse today, a small snag happened in Story City, IA. I had a blow out to end all blowouts(to date). Looking back it was the begining of the I don't fell so hot trip.

We stayed at the Stoney creek Lodge, it's themed in the "northren woods." I Loved looking and grabbing at everything there.

I got to see my Grandma Pat tonight. I wouldn't let her hold me but, I did wave from Mommy's lap at her.

Auntie Jess also stopped in for a bit in the evening. She's great, but I wouldn't let her hold me either!

Friday, May 06, 2005
Left for the first leg of our family trip. Omaha to the loving arms of my Grams and Gramps King. They brought us out to Netty's in South Omaha for some yummy chow. Yes I ate some rice, beans, chicken and chese. You know anything I could guilt out anyone at the table.

Today was the first day I got to sit in my new car seat. It is a Evenflo Triumph 5. I loke it. I fell asleep right away in it...on the way to Elkhorn and Dr. Staack's office.

I stopped into the US Bank mom used to work at, I saw Theresa, than it was off to ACE. I saw Chris, and Ryan. I was hoping to see Di and Nell, but they were not there. WE also quickly stopped at our old neighbors house, but they were not home. Too bad, I haven't seen them since I was a couple weeks old.

So it was off to the doctors office. I got weighed and the nurse said I am 11lb 4oz. I don't but it, she also said I was only 25 inches. Dr. Staack decided to remeasure me, I am a bit over 27 inches tall. I also got shots again, man those hurt. I slept all the way back to Grams and Gramps.

I also got a sweet card for my Mommy and Daddy thanks to Grams and Gramps. Mommy cried, Daddy teared up. The Hyda's (Auntie Ronni, Uncle Bobby, and Cousin Anne) got me a gift card to Walmart. Sunday, November 28, 2004
I ate sweet peas for the first time today, they are yummy! I'm digging this Big Boy food, I can make a mess like you wouldn't believe. Mom puts a bib and diaper on me, then it's straight to the tub afterwards if I get REALLY messy. If not, it's a fast cleanup of the face and into new britches and an outfit.

Today we put up our Christmas tree today, Mommy wanted to put up the white tree, but Daddy won and put up the fiber optic tree.

Today was also my first snow fall. That stuff is cold and wet. I don't really care for it. It's pretty, but too cold!!!!!

Friday, November 26, 2004
One of the ladies from Daddy's work came to visit Mommy and I. We went out shopping at Kmart and Walmart for "good deals." Heather and Mommy had me get my picture taken woth some guy posing as Santa Clause. Mommy says the real guy is fat and jolly, not skinny and sickly looking. The guy was nice though. Friday, November 19, 2004

Later that night we ran into Grandma Pat and Great Aunt Tena, so we went out to dinner with them.

Friday, September 24, 2004

Wednesday, September 15, 2004
Daddy and Gramps got back today. Gramps says Elko sucks. There is nothing but sage brush out there for hundreds of miles. So anytimeyou want to get a rise out of Gramps all you have to say is sage brush. It's quite funny.

Tuesday, September 14, 2004
I heard Daddy is 1/2 way to Elko and doesn't have to work any shifts there, he and Gramps should be home tomorrow night. Good, Grams and Mommy are chapping my cheeks with kisses.

Monday, September 13, 2004
Daddy and Gramps left to go work some shifts in Elko and get stuff from our hotel room. Daddy is goint to come back to Omaha for a couple weeks and then we are going to live in Hastins, NE. MUCH closer to family. Mommy says this was the first time Daddy followed his heart and thought about someone else other than his career. She is very proud of him.

Saturday, September 11, 2004
We made it back to Omaha today. I am already starting to breath better, and eat.

Friday, September 10, 2004
Dad worked for a couple hours today. I hate it here, I can't breath and my parents are upset. Later in the day Daddy brought me and Mommy in to his work. And Mommy said she wanted to leave this town. They canceled the house, and asked to go see other houses, but no one would help us look. That did it, we left to go back to Omaha. Driving all night stopping just for a couple hours in the middle of the night to rest.

Thursday, September 09, 2004
I started getting congested last night. Having a bitof a hard time breathing too. I'm not really hungry either,
I think it is because Mommy and Daddy don't want to be in Elko. We went into the place our house was being built and it was nothing like we thought. I don't want to grow up here.

We leave Chyanne to Park City, UT. Tomorrow we will be in our new "hometown" of Elko, NV. From our hotel room we could see one of the Olympic ski slopes. Cool.

Tuesday, September 07, 2004
We leave Omaha to go move to Elko Nevada. Today we drive to Chyanne, WY.

Sunday, September 05, 2004
Auntie Jess, her mom and dad drove down for mommy and my baptism. Auntie Ronni, Uncle Bobby, and cousin Ann, as well as Grams and Gramps. Jess is my Godmother, and Uncle Bobby is my Godfather.

Saturday, September 04, 2004
Mommy and Daddy's today. So as a gift, I decided to show them I can roll from the tummy to the back.

Friday, September 03, 2004
Mommy had her six week check up today. All seems to be well.

Thursday, September 02, 2004
My Great Grandpa Wayne and Great Grandma Tabbert came to see me today. And the added bonus was my Great Uncle Jeff came to visit too! It was "great" to see them.
I am also impressing the heck out of everyone by looking around with my neck a lot. Grown up, too weird!

Wednesday, August 25, 2004
They loaded all our stuff at the house today. Mommy, Grams and I stayed in Bellevue, Daddy and Gramps went to look everything over at the house in Elkhorn. I was right I would never live in that house again.

Tuesday, August 24, 2004
Packer are coming to pack the house. Mom's a emotional rollercoaster about moving right now. So, to sheild me as best they can, Daddy called Grams and Gramps to pick me up and spend the day with them. I didn't know that would be the last time in that house. I'll miss sitting by the pond out back woth mommy.
Nell from Mom's old work came to see Mommy (I wasn't there), and brought me the cutest outfit and my frog toy, Mommy named Nell, so I would never forget her.

Sunday, August 22, 2004
I'm one month old. It's been a busy month. Visits from loved ones a bunch, and I hear we are selling our house in a couple days too.

Saturday, August 21, 2004
My first laugh, again I stated in my sleep. I think I un-nerved mom with the nioce at first. But I laughed at Daddy again a lot, he's SO SILLY!

Friday, August 20, 2004
Mom's back to the Dr. Again, man she's there a lot. They say she hardly ever went before she had me. But I can only speak for what I have seen. She is doing WAY better, and Dr. Staack said she can skip next weeks appointment. Good thing, we will be at Grams and Gramps next week.

Monday, August 16, 2004
Mom went in to the Dr. she had a feaver and had horrid back pain. She had a mastitsis, and issues with her back. Due to the infection, I am no longer being breast fed just to be on the safe side.

Saturday, August 14, 2004
My first official smile. I started in my sleep, and continued all day long. Mostly at my silly Daddy.

Friday, August 13, 2004
Mommy is back for ANOTHER check-up. Still looking good for her good good. I got weighed again and now am up to 8lb 8oz. Whoo hoo!!

Friday, August 06, 2004
Mommy and I both have check-up's today. I lost some weight, topping off the scales at 7lb 12oz. But perfect in every other way-so says mommy and the Doctor. Mommys still healing. Dr. Staack wants me back in with mommy next weeek to just check my weight.

Monday, August 02, 2004
My soon to be Godmother(I get baptized) came again to see me, for real since I'm here...this time ;)

Friday, July 30, 2004
Off to Dr. Staack's office mommy goes for her 1st of 6 check up for stitches. All seems to be well. She's just really sore.

Thursday, July 29, 2004
Grandma Pat came to stay with us till the first of August. Proud Grandma. She is one of those who were dying to become Grandparents. Unlike Daddy's parents who thought if they ever had them fine, if not..oh well too bad. But they are all wonderful to us. I have perfect Grandparents, all of them.

Saturday, July 24, 2004
Grandpa Jerry, came all the way from LaCrosse to see me. He drove down to Omaha and stayed till I was released and went home before making the 7 hour-ish trek back home. It was nice of him to visit, it meant a lot. We left for home shortly after 4 PM, I faired the car ride well. Mom hope that is a sign of things to come.

Logan's Taking over the Journal-

My offical due date. Mommy and Daddy are thrilled that Iis here and healthy. Mommy had some issues walking today, she tried to get into the shower and collaped into the tending nurses arms. She took a couple more hours and by 5 PM, was hobbling around first the room then the halls of the ward.

Thursday, July 22, 2004
I went into labor today, I guess that means I won't be making it to the Dr.'s office tomorrow. The contractions started about midnight. We started counting them around 4AM. 7 minutes apart. At 7 I called the Dr.'s office to ask if the bleeding I was having was normal. I was told to get to get to Bergan because I was in labor. I woke Corey up and we started to get ready to go to the hospital. Then I called the hospital and gave them the heads up that I was on my way.

Of course it was a down pour, and morning rush hour. My worst nightmare, full blown labor and stuck in traffic. I about beheaded my care bear that was in the car. Corey just kept saying helplessly, "We are almost there." He was so cute! Logan was on his way.

I got in there and there was a room, but no nurse for me. I was put into a room and Corey was right behind me. I was left in there. I started to walk around and about 20 minutes later, I walked into the hall to see if I could get some help. The head nurse saw I was still in my clothing, and walked me to the bathroom.

I had to go to the bathroom so, I was more than happy to change in there. And my water offically broke as I was changing into my gown. Then I knew baby was on his way! I had to stay into the bathrookm till the Mr. Fix-it-guy, fixed the leak in my room. I was in the bathroom thinking oh great, a leaky room. But it was just an issue with the bed.

My check up showed no further diliation. But I did get to chose my nurses. I picked to have Mardie and Carroll. They were on duty as of 11AM. Chris was the head nurse who took care of me till 11 and gave me a narcotic to "take the edge off" the pain. Right the only thing that was taken off of was my common sense. The contractions still hurt like hell, but in between, I could care less. I really don't remember much, my brain was a bit foggy. I was called a "cheap drunk" by Chirs because the stuff hit me so fast and so hard, I didn't even get a full shot into my IV. Considering the hardest thing I had ever ingested before was a codine.

Most stuff after that is foggy till the epidural. That was sometime after noon. I remember that because my nurses were Mardie and Carroll were there. I had to go to the bathroom very badly but they had me hold off while some "Doogie Houser" looking med student hooked me up with my epi. The only time I cried(till I saw Logan for the first time) was when this kid was putting the thing inside my back. I had my head on Mardie's cheast balling. She whispered to me the real doctor whom was behind the kid was excelent and wouldn't let anything happen to me. She also told me not to squirm to much becaure he was a bit of an @sshole. All seemed to be going well till Doogie nicked a blood vessel. I knew something was wrong because Corey's face went ashen. I could see him peaking from around the curtain. They redid the epi, and just like that were gone. But not before the doctor started pissing off the nurses. I think we were all glad when they were gone.

I could feel pressure in my chest during every contraction, but no real pain. I didn't start to dialate till later in the evening bout 5PMish. I went from 2CM to 9.5CM in an hour. Dr. Staack was quickly called. While we waited I got the run-down on how and when they wanted me to push. We did start to push before the good Dr. got there. I did sets of three pushes, Corey pushed me up. I did ask him one time if it was me shaking or if it was him. He looked at me, and just said, "It was me."

Dr. Staack showed up andas always was calm and collected (thank God). I think Corey and I both needed that. Pushing lasted for a couple hours. And I just wanted it over with.

With help of a specialist, Logan came into the world no worse for the ware. Wish I could have said the same for me. It took a long time to stitch me up, and Logan was not a C-section.

Unsucessful inductions

Notes:

Well to start our friend Jessica came last Wednesday to stay for the induction that was going to happen last Friday. It didn't. Hospital was full. So they wanted us Saturday night. That was also canceled (with an hours notice). So, they wanted me to see if I was any further than 1CM and 75% effaced, so I was off to My Doctor on Monday to be induced later that night.

But of course Sunday came first. Corey and Jessica brought me to the zoo to "push me into labor." I have a theory they were trying to make me keel over! Logan would not settle for most of the 3 hours we were out there. And about jumped out my side when the train whistled on by. My reward was Valentino's buffet. Mmmmm!

Monday rolled around , and it was off to Dr. Staack's to see if anything has changed inside. No, but she gave me the number to call at 7PM to confirm my 8PM induction. I called at 7PM and they said to call back at 8PM. I was like 'oh great! I'll never get in.'

We called and they told us to come on in and they would give me my Cyteck pill and start the pit drip a few hours later. Getting in there and getting me into the room was fine. The IV was another story. I got some young intern who tried twice and poked thru my veins twice. Thank god she went to get another nurse. Who in tern got a smaller needle and slid it right in. They hooked me up to a monitor and left me for a while. Than the mild contractions started. They ended up being aprox. 5 minutes apart! Without the drugs. We thought we were going to have him by early morning. They gave me a 1/2 pill cyteck and sent me off to bed. Easier said than done with a big belly, and hooked up to a monitor. Logan as he always seems to do was to kick off his and my monitor at leaset once every hour sending a nurse in to readjust. At 5 AM they started the pit drip. As they upped the drip the contractions got stronger but till I was closer to the delivery. We hit the peak we could go and nothing changed.
The only difference was I had stared to slightly bleed. No one seemed worried so neither was I. At 12:40 they decided to try again. We also had a shift change of nurses. Martie and Carrol were awesome! And the labor got more intense. I was starving and no one would feed me! My nurses hooked me up. Toast even! but nothing came about from this induction either. So they cut the drip at about 5:30 and called Dr. Staack she said if the contractions would stay I could if not I should go home. By this time, I was hungry again, and wanted REAL food. The nurses left to get me checked out and Corey and I decied to go to Pappa John's. When they came back in I was told the Dr. called back and said we could stay overnight with a slow drip of we so chose. All I could think of was pizza so we were out the door. Hoping to try again on Logan's real due date.

As I sit here now, Jessica leaves tomorrow after being here for a week and no Godson to meet. I feel gulity. How silly. And Corey is going back to work again. I am going to be all by myself! Well not quite, Logan's there.

COMING TO THE END -

NOTES: Well sooner or later I will believe that Logan is actually coming soon. Sooner or later I will realize that normal people are sleeping at 1:30 in the morning, instead of typing. In all reality, he is due in 13 days. But, we are going to induce next Friday, unless something odd happens or I have him before hand. Going in to see Dr. Staack today we got the news I was hoping for. I have finally dialated (almost two cm's) and I am 50% effaced (post)! Thank GOD!!!!! It had been a long week with contractions often, and an acidy feeling thru my neck. Tum tum tum tums! My cravings have gotten worse also, chocolate milk and peaches, are a staple every morning and sometimes a afternoon snack. I really think Logan is kicking harder now, than before. He also, gets frusterated if he can't get his thumb to his mouth. He gets all worked up, and gets the hiccups.
Though we are so close to the end it seems so far away, next Friday! Ok, in reality Saturday but still next weekend! With all the big events that have happened or we are looking forward to Logan is the most important, and special.

We also found out that we are moving! To Elko, NV come September. Boy, it be fun traveling cross country, and staying in a hotel with a newborn till we get a house. Now how do we get all the cars out there, I am sure in the heck not driving all that way!

Corey is elated about finally getting his WCM job, he's wanted this for so so long. It's tiny there, but oh so beautiful. From what he says the people at the office are really nice. I am looking forward to going, and really happy for him. A new life with a new family member! Plus, we are not without family way out there my auntie and new uncle live in Boise, and are not that far away!

We are hoping to have the house here up for sale by next Friday. We are going to have a full house come Monday the 19th. Corey, Logan, Jessica, my dad (but I think he's going to a hotel), and me. And mom coming the 29th-2nd. Plus Corey's Mom, Dad, Ronnie and Bobby will be up. ---Gosh we'll miss them being so close. When I don't have family here, I think we will be down in Bellevue to see the faily often till we leave.
Open Houses/ home showing will be interesting the next couple of weeks.

I think it's time to go lie down now, and get ready for tomorrow. Not much to do tomorrow, but I'm sure we will be getting stuff packed away (before the movers come). I also have to get the Dogs bag's ready to go for next weekend too.
Whoo hoo!

NOTES:
It's been a fairly active week or so.
Logan decided to give Corey a father's gift. He showed off by poking his leg and foot out and let Corey massage his foot. His was really freaked out, it was so funny! But he kept wanting Logan to kick and move.

On Monday we went to Bergan to tour the maternity ward. It was rather informative and tramatic. We were walked thru and all questions answered. The freaky part was while we were waiting to be shown around we saw a woman in the trongs of pain going in for an emergency C-section to save her baby's life. Corey went ashen and I was about to start crying. On the positive within minutes we heard music playing over the intercom and were told that means the baby was out and fine. The lady walking us around was guessing Logan was going to be at least 8lbs. She also alluded to a C-section due to my size. Oh goodie! Of course she also gave us the (already known) common ways to bring on labor early. ---Hehehe.
Also, we changed out Logan's coming home outfit. We bought baby tees, instead of the onsie. We want to make sure he is comfy with his body parts healing up and all. Everything is so tiny! I'm just getting a kick out of it.

On to My weekly Dr.'s visit today. Logan's heartbeat was 146, Dr. Staack affirmed he has dropped. She is guessing 8 lbs or so for Logan too, due to my measurements. She also said I am looking great still, my BP and weight is pretty much right on. I was told to stay off my feet, but walk often. If I really didn't know what she meant, I would be totally lost. I may start on the tread daily till I get too exhausted. Also, as of this morning I am showing no other signs, of having him right now. Which is good, we want him no sooner than 37 weeks. BTW, that's next week! We want him fully developed lungs and all.

As of Sunday, I am off work till after Logan's born, that's going to be odd. I will have to visit the floks at work even before I have Logan, I'll miss them all so much.

Times ticking and we can't wait! A night sleep interrupted by my baby's cry will be better than the body pain that wakes me now.

26 days and counting till induction....

Notes: It sounds like I am waiting for an award or something. Not quite, I am waiting for my REWARD!

As I sit down to type this I have a little knee on one side and a tiny foot on the otherside of my poking out. Boy this is quite the experience. Last night, Corey was laying his hand on my belly to fell Logan and was able to feel his leg and foot. I can not discribe the look that was on his face was priceless. What a great father's day gift! I think it was more a thank you, for daddy picking up Logan's fist pack of diapers (swaddlers) and baby wipes (sensitive/ soothing).

We have been talking for a LONG time about getting a reclining loveseat, and went out shopping for one yesterday. We think we found one! It will be either taupe or green. Whoo Hoo!! Cough cough green cough cough It looks like it is suade, but it is polyester. Easier to clean, less likely to tear. Now I hope it won't pick up too much dog hair. Lord knows Monarch and K.C. will take over the new item in the livingroom.
Now, I think Corey wants the recliner now too. Oh well, it will match. Why not the couch too, no, we have a full livingroom set in the downstairs living room. This is for the room we live in way too much! This is also the first set of furniture we have bought together.

Back to Logan, I start going to the doctor weekly as of this coming Friday. And Corey and I have agreed to have me end working on the 27th of this month. It just takes so much out of me and I have hardly any energy anymore. And trying to go to sleep and getting up from when I do, is a really sad site! I'll just be at home and spend "quality time" with the dogs till Logan comes. Than maybe I'll be able to go shopping for food for more than 5 minutes with out feel like falling over. Also, with the temp beginning to climb, no one wants me in the heat!

Corey is also putting out for Elko, NV. Small yes, but I think we can hack it. There's a Walmart, extended cable, and internet access. We don't need much more. The cost of living there is so inexpensive that any visitors could pretty much have their own wing of a house. Crossing my fingers for a day job for him, he deserves it.

Friday, June 04, 2004
Well, I think Logan is becoming highly active about every three hours now. Around the clock! So, I have begun the process of no full night sleeps but napping through out the day. Logan also likes to make himself known now with a fist, foot, head and even his butt sticking out from my belly time to time.

We bought Logan's diaper pail yesterday, we got the last one at Toys R Us, and saved 8 bucks! I was so excited. How sad, I was excited about a diaper pail. But now all we need is the sleep positioner, and some cloth diapers for burp rags. Whoo! Almost ready for the little guy!!! Corey went out yesterday also, and got us a memory foam matress topper in hope of helping me sleep a bit better. It works great, but laying now for too long is painful. My hip,leg bones neck and sholders ache and with Logan's partying within every couple hours and wanting attention makes for uninterupted sleep fleeting. I can't wait to put a face to all of this. Getting closer.

Am I looking forward to the labor/delivery, not a chance. I am looking at WHO comes from all of that.

My manta right now, is WATER, WATER, WATER! It's getting warm outside again and will stay and get warmer now. I don't want start to get swollen due to lack of water, as most due in the summer. I'm really not having much retention, but my rings get a bit tight from time to time during the day.

I also started my going to the hospital bag today. Jammies, socks and such all ready to go, I just need to put in some shampoo/conditioner, cameras/film, and a going home outfit.

A long update at 8 months

Notes: We've made it to month eight! My little Logan is getting and so is my belly.

Logan is resting past my hips and out in front. I always wondered how I would carry a baby, now I know! Now, he when he rests, he rests low and causes some pain in my pelvis. Yesterday, the Dr. checked everything out and everything seems to be fine. She was a bit worried about preterm labor, due to the pelvic pressure and the contractions. It was a back and forth on to look to check everything out, but better careful than not. His heart rate was 140 yesterday.

Sleep has gotten more fleeting, for me and Corey due to all my rolling around. I try to catch as many little naps as I can during the day, to keep up energy. I feel like I have a lead weight in my belly when I roll over at night. THan I get that 'hey I was comfy,' jab in the hip and/or the rib and remember Logan is in there sleeping too!

The Dr.'s appointment Corey and I went to on 14th of this month was good also, Logan trid kicking Dr. Staack AGAIN, and his heart rate was 150. We also discussed inducing to have him early. Dr. Staack suggested doing it around the 16th of July, but no later than the 30th.

Mother's day (5/09) was spent with Corey placing 7 1/2 tons of rock around the house. It looks great! The following weekend (5/15) Corey picked out my Mother's day gift. A white gold mother and child heart pendant with nine diamonds in it. It is quite beautiful, and suttle. Just what we both wanted.

We have also picked out and bought Corey's Father's day gift. A cute looking tool chest with a box to go on top. Now we shouldn't be losing tools all over the place. SO, now Corey is going to "collect" power tools. His first one that he has bought is a Black and Decker mega-mouse, sander combo. Boy is he proud of it. Why the sander you ask.

Well, all the stain we put on the deck last year was coming up and the whole deck needed to be sanded. It took Corey over a week to strip and sand it, it looked great. We decied on a semi-transparent tinted stain. Corey slicked it on and it looked great, till the second coat was to be picked up. Dude at Home Depot screwed up and gave us the wrong stain. Now it's a waiting game to see if it will dry or just come up. What a mess, but it still looks good.

Between doing the deck Corey has been putting in a ton of overtime, 'tis the season and all! We went out "storm chasing" last weekend. I put it in diddo marks due to the fact we were with in miles of home and the second it started raining, we went home. Corey the fearless(ful) stormchaser.

Speaking of weather, we had the weather service baby shower on the 19 of this month. It was more than we could have imagined. So many friends, family, and co-workers were there the room was packed. We got a wonderful gifts and most everything on our registry! Everyone seemed to have fun and were fairly laid back.
With the mix of people that was a good thing.

Times ticking away

Notes: Well last Fridays Glucose test rendered a good result. No gestational diabeties. I didn't figure with only having gained 15lbs so far, and blood pressure still low to normal.

Corey and I are going to see if we can have Logan On the 4th of July. He will be at term then. His conseption was planned so carefully, so why not his birth too? We will talk to Dr. Staack again the 14th about and hopefully finalize the plan then.

Speaking of plans, I started on our birthing plans also, boy is that fun. I have about 5 now, I'll get it down to one before Logan's here, I hope!
Logan's kicking around like a mad dog now and contorting my belly in odd ways, he likes to kick my ribs and run his hands and/or feet down the rungs of the ribs he can reach. He's also big on hitting my hip bones, odd child. Takes after his parents, I guess. And we all know how weird they are... ;)

At just about 28 weeks

Notes: A lot has happened since I last wrote, so here we go.
Corey and I decided to go back to LaCrosse over easter, long trip, short stay. Mom had been storing a lot of Quintin's things, so had Jerry and Mary. So between them and Keyara, they filled our car up with little boy things. All were very nice, but the carseat is cracked, luckily, we have a spare.

Keyara's son was also being baptized, nice ceromony, big mess. I started having painful contractions, on Saturday, thru Sunday. We thought on Sunday we would at least get half way home, well we made it all the way home that day. After getting home they leveled out and I have been ok for the most part since then. And Logan is still kicking, now up into my ribs. He also is doing flip flops and figuring out the most comfy way for him to lay. Usually, it's the most uncomfy way for me. At least he seems happy in there, squeezed a bit, but happy. I have some back pain, and my hips are loose and sore. But, I have another Dr. office visit on Friday. I will have the glucose test..oh yummy!

Well, on to happier notes, we got Logan's crib on the 12th. Jessica, got us a TON of things on our registery including the playyard with a changing table and a bassinette.

Now we have most everything we need. The stroller/car seat was given as a suprise gift by Corey's parents, but now Jerry and Mary will have to find something else to help us out with, I guess. What I really don't know, I hope they aren't mad. We had no idea they got it for Logan till we showed up at their house. I will need more support than anything from my family now, and after Logan is here.

We also have had on baby shower, with just the girls from ACE, we had fun. I had never had a shower thrown of any type for me (this one for Logan, but I had to be there too), it was truly memoriable. And I got TONS of cool ideas for showers when I have friends having kids in the future. Thank you girls!
Kathy, from Corey's work, and Andie one of Corey's bosses wives are going to throw a shower for Logan on May 19th, Corey WILL be at this one... :)

We should also have Logan's baby book by this Friday, it's a baby bus bunny book, too cute!
So, with the crib, playyard, swing, a closet and a dresser full of clothing, and another pending baby shower we are ready and just want to meet our little guy!

Corey felt a kick

Notes: Just a quick note at 10:25PM tonight Corey felt Logan kick once for the first time. It's very exciting, it's a big milestone in our pregnancy.

Wednesday, March 10, 2004
Over 1/2 way there!
Notes: Whoo hooo! Over half way to meeting our little boy! Corey keeps trying in vain to feel some of Logan's movements. They are getting more solid and predictable.Bladder gets to full...whap. Sleeping on the wrong side, well you get the picture.

As for pg sickness, there is little to none. But as of Sunday, my allergies hit with full force. Ears, eyes, nose, lungs, all sore. Not real fun at all. I was up most the night due to coughing, and going thru kleenex like it was going out of style. Is it time for frost yet? ;)

On the positive we went in on Friday to see Dr. Staack about the 5 month check up, all is well. Logan still refuses to lie still to get a long set heartbeat. He actually kicked away this time. His heart is beating at 158 BPM now. Dr. Staack says she can't wait till he's too big to dodge the doppler anymore.

It's LOGAN!!

Notes: IT'S A BOY!!!!
All the parts are there and accounted for. His name is going to be Logan Wayne King. Logan in tribute to all my teachers from Logan to whom I can never express how they touched my life. How better to thank them all. Also, Logan means, from the hollow. Corey's name means, the hollow. So it's perfect. Wayne is my grandfather's name, Corey's dads name, and his middle name.
He's about 7 oz. now but should start to grow real fast now. He's a kicker too, moving around quite a bit at all hours of the day and night. We can't wait to meet him in July.

16 week check up

Notes: Dr. Staack may have jury duty on Friday so we went in a couple days early. Little one's heartbeat is 160 BPM strong, but does NOT like the doppler that takes the measurements. Dr. Staack will put the doppler on my belly, and sure enough the baby moves away within a couple seconds. Though entertaining to think the Dr. chasing the baby, the doppler is be ground into MY belly!

We are very excited also, because we will be going in on the 18th to see if we can find the sex of the baby. Knowing our luck, baby will like the ultrasound as much as it likes getting it's heartbeat measured.
I can't wait for the first picture!!!!

Tuesday, January 13, 2004
Into the second trimester

Notes: We went to hear the heartbeat on the 5th of this month. 160 BPM. Sounded like a horse clopping down the street, more than a heartbeat. It was a bit harder to hear over my thudding heartbeat.

Corey's face got all red and he had the proud daddy look on his face, too cute!

Corey's also coping with my wanting nightly diffrent types of meat. One evening I woke up from a nap and wanted turkey and gravy, and the next night after a nap, I wanted beef stew. I don't think I ever ate beef stew while I was with him.

Saturday, January 03, 2004
Just over 20% of the way

Notes: I'm almost at 12 weeks! Thank God. We will be going into the doctor's office on Monday to listen to the little one's heartbeat. We are both very excited. I'm sure all is going well in there with the little one, but to worry is parenthood...right?

I have not been as sick, but allergies and utter exhaustion has been the biggest issues of the week. A bit of light headedness, but that comes and goes.
The thing that drives me the most crazy is the fact I get so so so hungry, get the food in front of me and I can't eat it. UGGG!!!

Monday, December 22, 2003
heading into week 10

Notes: Well I have made it through the first Sunday in about a month without throwing up! I have "graduated" to getting lightheaded and almost passing out. Ih how happy I will be when this chapter of being a mommy will be over. Well go to the Dr. in a couple weeks to hear the heartbeat, than find out the sex a week or so (but, that's up to baby I guess).

At 9 weeks -

Notes: Today is Corey's birthday, I am also 9 weeks along now. I look back to 7 weeks ago and just think..WOW! We have totally altered our lives forever. So much has happened in this short amount of time. We have full fledged devoted our selves to a little human that's at this moment the size of a peapod.

Baby got it's first gift this week from (great)Grandpa and Grandpa Tabbert, a little stuff frog that ribbits. It's just too fun, and oh so cute.

I have still been sick on and off last Sat and Sunday (always Sundays) was the worst to date. I took all Sunday off and of all the Sundays to be that ill! Now I owe Corey a Lobster dinner to make up for the Christmas party I missed Sunday night at Farmer Brown's. I was in no mood for food that day andyway, but Corey was really looking forward to it...Hmmm I wonder why?

Making me sick....

Notes: I cannot believe that I got sick twice at work. I went home 2 1/2 hours after arriving there. Thank God everyone there is supportive about this. So is Corey he's being great, doing all his homework I'm impressed.
I have been eating food though none sounds good. I hear ginger helps with the upset stomachs, we are going out tonight to get some ginger snaps and tea tonight when Corey gets home

Feeling pregnant

Notes: So, this little baby inside me is growing, and along with it our love for it grows too! I feel like I'm on a long trip....are we there yet?
I am still really sleepy, I can sleep for 12 hours and not bat an eye. We have found baby doesn't like to be rouse too quickly. I have had daily wannabe morning sickness (lasting all day long) since the 22nd. We can't wait for our little one. I can't wait to feel like Krimsin again!

Went to 1st Dr. visit
Notes: 10:15AM They took more blood, urine and gave the last pelvic exam till the baby comes. I just hate those things. But all will be for the little one growing in my belly!

Three test yesterday.... - 11/12/2003

Notes: Three test's yesterday said I was pg. So I am in the process of waiting for the DR. to get back with the results of the blood test. The kicker is, I tested neg. at the Dr. with the urine test there. I wonder what's going on. I hope that was a mistake, we told everyone last night there was a great chance we were expecting. I guess I'll find out this afternoon.

First shot for hope

Notes: Corey is looking forward to fatherhood now. He wanted me to get pg this month, we'll see. I honestly think he wants to raise our child with his friend Scott's (who's wife is due in April). I guess well know in about a week and a half or so...Crossing fingers for a baby.

Getting ducks in a row

Notes: We'll see how well this calender is working now I guess..
WE have almost converted the "yellow" room in to a moon and star theme. I got a ton of wall decorations and it has changed the atmosphere in there a ton! To someone coming into the room they wouldn't know it was being converted in to a babies room, they would just know we are odd. Corey seems like well, if we are doing this we may as well do it now. I think he means "it" as a baby.

Trying to plan

Notes: Well, on the positive note, I was not pg this month. I wanted to have a regular cycle. Now is a regualr cycle, one or two, maybe three now? I'm not sure of dates, times, ect right now and it's driving me nuts. I just want everything laid out on the table, so I can track...But then again don't we all!
I'm not in the least upset about not being pg this month. It was not time.
We have chose a unisex room design. Moon and stars. I bought a shelf and bookends so far. Also have picked out bedding. Shooting stars. Blue and bright yellow. Little by little, just like the wedding. So when it happens, we are set!

I'm four days late, darn Notes: I am sitting here hoping I am not pg. Not because we wouldn't weclome baby with open arms, but it is the first cycle without my b/c pills. I am guessing my horomones will let the cycle begin when it feels like it. It would just be nice to get it over with so I can track out when to plan for this little baby we are planning for.
Still taking all pernatals, and working out almost every day. Corey seems to be coming around now too.

The Beginning -

Notes: We found out earlier this week that Scott and Amy are expecting in April. So thinking we will start "not trying" come January, I am off the pill and hoping to lose some excess weight in the process win win situation. I am starting the multi regiem, workout heathlier eating...ect. We'll see what happens.
