Happy Birthday to meeeeee!

Yes I am really that old, again.  We did gifts, lunch, go-carts, cupcakes, fair and fair food.  It was a great day.  Thank you all for the birthday wishes on both Mom's facebook and twitter pages.  Dad had to work an overnight tonight so I went and watched NCIS till 1am with Mom.

My Robot Hotel

It is made out of blocks, it is where broken robots go to relax, and get fixed after doing robot things.  It's the first time I have ever made a robot hotel out of blocks, but it may not be the last.  Pic brought to you by Mom's new DROID phone!

How to Trap a Leprechaun

How to Trap a Leprechaun:

Promise them food.

Set the elaborate trap, using things usually found within the room the trap is to be set.

Realize said Leprechaun's will be a bit ticked off by the fact that there is no food, so one must put out gold.  For this trap we used some pirates booty gold from my treasure chest,
placed it in the pocket of the ball container. Once they apply pressure to the pocket, the holder should fall over.
By the time they realize the gold is fake, they should be caught.
My first try at this didn't exactly pan out.  But Mom did get her shoe laces tied together and it took a while to get them untied.  It was almost worth it!

Valentines 2010 Gift to Teacher

Here is the gift Mom and I helped to make for my teacher.  The penguin bookmark was a huge hit as she is a HUGE book reader and fan of penguins.  Glass vase, large iridescent glass rocks, red rose, bow, and book marker.

Valentines 2010 Craft

So every year the K-6th graders all but their names in a jar and get to create a secret Valentine.  The rules are you get any of the student body, and you have to make a HANDMADE Valentine to the name you get.  There can be NO toys and Nothing other then crafty stuff around the house or school if you don't have any at home.  Here is what I found in Mom's stash of craft stuff.

Claustrophobic in a ski mask

This is the Mom reporting on how much not fun it is to try on ski masks on a kid who is claustrophobic.  How did I do it?  I bribed him, by taking his picture!

Door #1, FAIL!  He screamed, a lot for this one.

Door #2.  A little less screaming with this one.  He thought he was a ninja.  I was thinking bank robber, but whatever...

I thought this would be the winner, it had Bumble Bee and it had yellow.  Nope.  He went with door #2.

We still have freak outs when he puts on the mask, but its getting better.  Who says you don't remember your birth.  He's always been like this.  I blame his birth.
